Can't speak for the organizers, but I think there are candles because it was dark (at least months ago when this all started) and I thought it was silent so they do not interupt the Council in the chambers. As for making the mayor look bad...that could be said about any disagreement, but it shouldn't stop people from expressing valid concerns. These types of rallies have been going on for hundreds of years. If it wasn't for concerned citizens showing up at bd mts there would be no Pier A, Sinatra Pk or the walkway. Personally, I love involving my kids. I always tell them "gotta speak up or no one hears you" Just my opinion. Acedemic anyway as the meeting was postponed by the developer.
