I am going to add a bit of fuel to the fire. I agree with your statement that there are a lot of first and second dates. I also have to say that Hoboken is a very young college oriented town, and young people will want to experiment to see what type of person they are or what type of person they will want to be with.
Not that I am loose or a prude, but I think commitments should come after time has passed. I feel it is more important to enjoy a person's company, to laugh and giggle over the same things, then worry about the commitments. That will come with time.
