Hey I am in my 30's and I was in a horrible dating spell for a long long long time. Then I decided to F**k it and just enjoy entertaining, throwing parties and planning events(notice my post for rollerbladers to unite). On a side note, I think our host, mike, has the right idea, and I think this list is just fabulous.
So, don't worry about dating and meeting the right person, focus more on enjoying life and trying to make not just yourself happy but other people happy and I will garantee you the dates will come and you will find the right person. The worst thing we can do is to keep complaining that we can't find anyone.
