I *really* wanted to like this movie but I am sad to report that is dissapoints in a big way. I am a big fan of the original 5 movies and a big Mark Wahlberg fan so my expectations were high. "Shallow" and "2-Dimensional" are word that come to mind. All except for 3 characters are completely useless and the ending is laughable.
Now, it is not the worst movie I have ever seen - it's no "Battlefield Earth" or anything. I would say see it but just don't get your hopes up. If you are up for a mindless action film and lots of cool costuming and special effects then it is worth th $10.00.
I am losing more respect for Burton each time he comes out with a new film. Oh and the females Apes look like crack-addicted muppets.
