I'm mostly vegetarian I don't have a beef with anything. Anyway, my carrot with the president is that this sentence does not make any logical sense at all.
If he was dead, how could he be loosing power?!?
Another one today was the quote about not knowing if all 10 fingers were around Saddam's throat, but that now one by one those fingers are slipping off. Think of it, if you are trying to choke somebody would you want fewer fingers to be on their throat?
Don't get me wrong, I do find this president to be one of the most courageous ones in recent history, but that doesn't mean that I think it inappropriate to poke fun at him where it is due. I think he should be very careful with improvising if he has such a bad track record. It just isn't one of his strong sides.
Also, I don't think there is any contradiction between having opposed the war and wanting for it to end quickly. I think all of us want it to end quickly, whether you have been supportive of it, as I have, or opposed to its inception.
