I first saw crystal healing wands in India and my question was exactly the same as yours "how do you use that". So that is not a silly question to me.
I use my wands for drawing symbols when ever possible eg: room clearing,food purifiying and also you can sleep with them under your pillow for more vivid dreams. (I have had very good feedback for this). One lady has had a painful leg for some time and she sleeps with a Cherry wood wand next to her leg and now she feels so much better she does not sleep without it.
I decided to use wood because wood from living trees has such a healing effect.(I do ask the tree before i take some wood). You can also use them for pinpoint Reiki.
