Its been 40yrs since I first read this book in 1962 aged 17yrs. This mans knowlwedge of occult and Spiritual matters impressed my young mind greatly. He triggered in me a natural inbuilt interest on this subject which has stayed with me all these years. I have since read a lot and experienced much on these matters. Recently I asked a book dealer friend of mine to obtain any of Rampas books he could find. One of them was the Third Eye. I was able to compare almost a life time of experience against my first impressions in 1962. This is my conclusion based not only on the Third Eye but the other four books I obtained, interestingly, ones I had not read before. Rampa writes with a sincerity that is unquestionable; soak up the true message running between the lines! Remember -the written word only accounts for 7% of total communication. His knowledge is far too wide and expert to be that of a 'con-man' out to fool the world for a quick buck. Despite attempts over the years to discredit this man as a charletan - mostly by ignorant media types - evidence against him has been based on petty minded subjectivity. No true evidence has ever been brought to light to prove him a fraud. I strongly recommend anyone interested in the past history of Tibet, occult and Spiritual matters to read this book with an OPEN MIND. Then read all the others by this facinating and highly knowledgable man.
