There was a time seemingly not long ago when I thought this was a silly approach. When I found that it works my ego judgement on this lost sway:

Ask the book where it is. Outloud ask : "where are you little blue book"? And then let it go to the back of your mind and endevot to be open to when the clue or outright answer comes.
