I happened upon a wonderful children's book today called The Happy Hedgehog. It was $2.50 new at Kohl's Department store. It is a story about a little hedgehog that was very happy in his little herb garden learning about healing herbs and plants and enjoying life. Then his grandfather berrated him about lounging around while everyone else was working hard.
Hedgehog went to learn from all these other creatures and found that while they were "working" and "learning" they were ignoring life and not happy or enjoying life.
A wonderful story to share with the kids! Mine are 10 and 11 and loved it! The illustrations are adorable too.
