Nope it is not a catalogue of already known stuff and yes is well worth a read!
Frans and Bronwen Stiene do extensive research first hand, they are tireless and never take anything on face value and thats why I love this book and The Japanese Art of Reiki book so much. I also love the fact that they dont dismiss anything until they have researched it for themselves and are clear wether it is not part of Reiki etc. Its nice to get an unbiased view point.
I picked up the Japanese Art of Reiki first and it was at a time when I was not sure about certain things I had been taught, some things just didnt 'sit right', after reading the book things just all fell into place for me, they made sense. Thats why I went on to read the Reiki sourcebook and as I say if you are looking for a well researched and unbiased book that tells it like it is then go get a copy and check it out for yourself, its worth it :) cant recommend them enough.
