last year i noticed a patch of sunflowers growing on a grassy area at the entrance to the BQE (about 1/2 way between where you live & i live).
perhaps this year whoever planted them will plant corn as well?
i have quite a few seedlings popping their heads up and am looking forward to some tall corn stalks in my garden (along with the many sunflowers). there were only three last year out back. each produced about 2 or 3 ears of corn. pretty cool for brooklyn.
