Here is a link to get referrals for practitioners from all over the world. It is published by the Reiki Digest. Just look to the left of the screen and click on the light blue box that says "click here to get a free referral". Apparently they have a very comprehensive list so maybe you can find someone that way.
Practitioners as well can place their name on the list if you haven't done so. But they do give preference to those who have completed the online "test" i guess to be sure they have some good understanding of the work which is probably a good idea. :-)
It's always amazed me how in my area (very conservative) there were far more practitioners than i had ever imagined. They were just "underground" so to speak and harder to find.
