Did you watch the program at all?
Ok yes it is still theory and the scientific community can be a bit slow to acknowledge theories unless they have total proof, hence it took them some 3 or 4000 years to acknowledge that what the early Hindu's etc were saying about the universe was probally right.
There does apperar to be several different theories to string theory, no one can quite make thier minds up yet (LOL) and it is still early days.
The program did give me lots of insights and it is explained in lay man terms, where they can.
The web of the universe. Well like lots of things that are put down as myth or religion, if this (string theory) is confirmed it will confirm those things like the web of the universe etc do exsist, So another lot of spiritual thought and beliefs will be confirmed.
