roxy,
Hi,
I am having my cup of joe. Hope yours is\was deelish as well.
So, for those who say we were made in god's image would this not also include ego? If "man" cannot create anything not intended by god (that is, god created All), then the existence of ego is not possible, no? If I were to go along with the in god's image thing, then are we not simply projections of god? And I would suggest further that 'in the image' thinking realm it would necessarily have to make part of what we are projections of some sort of god-ego. I do not feel one can parcel out some things such as ego as not being part of 'the god within' while leaving other aspects un-scrutinized. This seems way too convenient, to me at any rate.
Further, if we are only what god intended, how can we truely have free will? Not that free will actually exists -god or no god. Now, if god intended life forms to evolve as they have over the many thousands of millenia, then strict creationism is again, rather in trouble.
Cheers,
RC
