When Fearful ...
Remember ...
His Word holds promises that are true—
Truer, richer, more profound even than the proofs of your faltering direct experience.
Fear, remember, has you in its clutches. It is an illusion, posing as a truth. Do not feed it with your attention.
Remember Jesus said, “Lo I am with you always, even ‘til the end of the world.”
He is present.
He is here.
He cares.
He longs for your attention and for you to direct your heart to Him, Now, right now.
He, as another Word-Promise declares, “shall never leave nor forsake you.”
So, to change your direct experience,
Invoke the Word,
Remember it, lean on it, make it part of your form, being and spirit.
Let it come in and fill your heart and soul.
Then, as the Word becomes part of your spirit, bit by gradual bit, the direct experience is transformed …
and you shall experience the constant, abiding, very near Presence that is God’s indwelling, as well as your inheritance and birthright.
Try it.
Bring your doubts, worries, concerns, as you start. Be absolutely where you are now, don’t pretend to be more faithful, more sure, just be. But as you move your awareness onto the Promised Word, do not let your doubts define you. Say to yourself, “I let the Word’s Promise supply me with everything I need right now, even my identity.” Try to have room in your heart for the promised Word alone. It shall be a perfect light to lead you out of darkness. Rely on it. It is more constant that the movements of the stars; it is the continual declaration of God’s love, still being spoken—the ground of being which is the foundation of all that is, even you.
