I don't know how many times I've had folks come to me and say, "I'm always going to hurt." I have to tell them, "Your mind set, your belief system, is a very powerful tool and chances are, if that is what you believe, that's just the way it'll be." Then, we gently attempt to give them tools to peel away that kind of thinking....
You know....it just occurred to me....that maybe, I should've been asking them why they believe that....
