If she is stressed by the proceeder then it will certainly elevate her pressure and a good reading won't be possible. My husband always does a heart lock when he goes to the doc and has his taken because doctor's offices and waiting stress him. He figures his time is worth at least as much as the doctor's so the doctor should be considerate of it, that however isn't how it usually works. :-)
Inexpensive and accurate blood pressure cuffs can be purchased some places so that she could monitor it herself when she was comfortable. Just a thought.
