Grounding. Reiki with animals seems to pack a punch so to speak. I would work on communicating and scanning to proceed.
Speaking to animals is actually quite easy to get started. Of course use simple/gentle tones and Mindfulness.
When you speak a to an animal keep it simple and consistent. In successfully speaking to an animal one is sending/visualizing picture thoughts that clarify what you are saying verbally. They key into that much easier than trying to translate your verbal speak.
