If I may add there is no crash course in Reiki, With that said, Myself being a Martial artist with over 40 years training and teaching we use Chi / Ki also, A punch is just that a punch, a strike just that, a strike without a full understanding of energy and transfer of energy...Most traditional karateka use ki Aph, But have no real understanding of Ki or Reiki, Universal life force energy.
With an understanding of Qi, Ki, Chi and how your life force energy flows throughout the body via vessels much like how our blood flows through to various organs by blood vessels, Chi flows the same way through vessels known as meridians, In martial arts one can transfer energy from their body into the intended target, Energy transfer, without the use of the entire body or force...and at close range...In qi Gong this same energy is generated through the body and to the organs for health, blocked energy is restored....through the reiki attunment process this energy is enhanced greatly, Like having a 75 watt light bulb...then being attuned through the process and symbols your 75 watt light bulb is repaced with a 150 watt bulb. The attunment process enhances your qi...through the attunment you can send reiki to the past, the future...we all have this energy, it's from the creator...the attunment increases your energy...hard to explain in this format.
