I have been treating a woman undergoing radiation and chemo for breast cancer. I treated her all through her chemo treatment and we both felt great during and after the session.
During a recent session, while she was undergoing heavy radiation. I had an unusal experience. During the treatment, mainly the first 2 positions I felt a vague heat in my core. This was a very unusual heat but nothing I worried about. When I reached position 3(cradling her head) I had unbearable nausea and heat waves. I needed to break contact and leave the room. I felt immediately better out of the room. I reentered and resumed the treatment in position 3. I was almost instantaneously ill. I felt like I had been punched in the stomach. I needed to break contact again.
Since my client is also a practioner of Reiki she knew I was struggling. I was only able to complete the treatment with the use of a moving stone.
I felt good throughout the remainder of the session, as long as I kept my hands moving and with the stone between us. It turned out to be a great treatment.
I had prepared the room in the usual way. I felt grounded after a meditation and nothing was unusual.
Has anyone experienced something like this?? I am looking for your thoughts about this!
