I am upset to hear of your experience with attunement. I am a reiki master but have not yet attuned many people. However, my master had a young Italian chap who had an attunement from a person, actually in the physical. He started cleansing and because he got no support was frightend of what was going on. He deliberately stopped self treatment and refused the cleansing process. This resulted in what you are experiencing.
My master with me in attendance reattuned him to the Reiki I level. The chap then treated himself for 21 days. He was able to cope better as he had on going support and also a reiki manual to refer to.
Both my master and I do not agree with distance attunements UNLESS it is absolutely necesary. You ca't really know the person doing it or if they have integrity.
I suggest you email Firekeeper and also find a local Reiki Master. No master should refuse to help you.
