Tera Mai is trademarked by Milner, I believe, and is similar to Karuna which is trademarked by Wm Rand, I believe - and Seichm is someone elses, I guess. :-}}
These, in my experience, are not of reiki.
And yes to "officially'" be attuned to these one must pay, as I understand it - much as the reiki Alliance suggests that about Usui Shiki.

who, of any of these has received hands on attunements in these practices.
I do not favor disatnce attunements for a variety of reasons.
My suggestion is to find an Usui Master and go that route to start with.
Depending on how open you are at your attunement and how experienced the Teacher is, the need for these other "symbol" based practices may well be superfluous for you.
