Thank you for all your responses. I am very excited but a bit nervous too. Like I said, I am Reiki II and I don't have a professional Reiki practice so it is a bit overwhelming thinking about starting a program at a hospital. Hilary, thank you for the the contact person at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. I am going to do a search and email or call Pat Alandydy and see if she can give me some suggestions on where to start. I began today by putting together a draft of a "presentation book" which so far includes:
-What is Reiki?
-Reiki in Hospitals
-Reiki Articles by Medical Persons
-Reiki Medical Research
-Connecticut Hospitals with Reiki Programs
-CEU Reiki Credits to Nurses
-Reiki and the Law
-Reiki and Liability
-Reiki Consent/Release Form
-Suggested Reading List
Also, I have a 3-way fold-out brochure on Reiki with my contact information imprinted on it.
Was even thinking of including a Reiki book: "Reiki Medicine" by Libby Barnett and Maggie Chambers.
If anyone has any other information they think should be included in the booklet, any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again!
