Dont worry i'm not going to confuse things even more, just to say, i think its possible that too many Reiki practitioners and masters are putting their own views and slants on various aspects of Reiki. Maybe its best to keep it as simple as possible by just channeling the energy with mindful intent and allowing the Reiki energy to do the work, using the symbols as and when needed. After all who are we to decide if a person needs energy extracted, sucked out or turned upside down. Just give Reiki with love and let it flow, as you say it all comes from God or the higher source.
