I had my Reiki III attunement almost a year ago, but was not taught to teach. My Reiki was given to me for my brother.MY RM lives an hour away, and I've not spoken to her in over 6 months. There doesn't seem to be any other Reiki Masters in our area, no support groups, etc..My sister (snickers) has told me of someone who would like to be attuned,and wondered if I would be interested in attuning her. I would definately be interested, but have had no real teaching, other than my RM guiding me through my brothers attunements, 2 of which I did without her. I have meditated on the idea and asked my Reiki Guides to show me what I need if in fact I should do this, or to not do this. They seem to have pointed me to all of you, for references, or ideas. I know it is a big step, a commitment, how does one know when they are ready?
And do I need formal training?? My Reiki Master told me to let her know if I ever wanted to teach, but if I do need the formal training, I think I would seek another RM, just because I know that my RM hasn't been there for me. Let me know what you all think? Also, I never paid for my Reiki, it was a gift of tithe, from my RM, so how could I charge to pass it on?
