Dear Janet and Featherpoint, thank you both for sending Reiki to Lilly.
I know that declawing is very painful and I feel terrible for putting Lilly through this. This is why I asked that distance Reiki be sent to her, because the procedure is so painful. It was a difficult decision to make, and I am not completely comfortable with having gone through with it, I must admit. I woke in the middle of the night last night and tried to send love and comfort to her. It was strange, I felt anxiety and couldn't get back to sleep. I have a feeling she had a bad night. We did try to get her to scratch other things besides the good furniture, but to no avail. She will be treated to extra special care when she gets home tomorrow. We love her dearly.
