Greetings,

One more response here.....

You say, "Since I have been involved in reiki I am more aware of peoples responses and true feelings, and if it is not supportive or what one truly needs then why bother going back to the well".

That is missing the whole point of Reiki.

The point of Reiki, as taught by Usui-sensei, is to guide people out of non-supportive, unhappy lives and into balance, and eventually enlightenment (satori). This, to Master Usui, was more important than healing.

To quote the poet and teacher, Shantideva...

"May I be the doctor and the medicine, and may I be the nurse, for all sick beings in the world, until everyone is healed.

"May I be a protector for those without one, and a guide for all travelers on the way. May I be a bridge, a boat, a ship; for all who wish to cross the water.

"And if in anyone I encounter, a faithful or angry thought arises, then may this forever be the source for fufilling all their wishes."
