Dear Friend, how very interesting, just Friday I recieved a massage-Reiki work from a very dear Friend here in our city. Our discussion was about alcoholics and Reiki. She had been taought that you should NEVER do Reiki on a person who was under the influence. Well...as a recovering alcoholic, drug addict who is also a Reiki Master, and Counselor who worked with addictions for 20 years, now doing life coaching and Reiki work, I supported her to do the things of taking care of herself, working those beloved 12 steps, and use the Theta work she has just recently learned as well. Her spouse in the "alcoholic", and he has asked her to work on him.. She has used the Theta work on me and it is wonderful. She learned from a woman in Utah, it was very resonably priced, and learned wonderful skills. Her spouse has calmed down with his use, and she is feelling very confident. Funny how this lovely Universe works, I had told her I would check on this chat room, and there you all were. Blessings for the courage, the discussion, honesty heals greatly. I would think that Reiki treatments would be so wonderful in treatment centers due to the anxiety that recovering people encounter in early sobriety, New thoughts for the world of letting go of addictions and moving on into life at its best. Blessings, Sharon
