I think you made a good point about losing Reiki, but I think when using the word losing, she did not mean literally. I believe she meant the ability to channel. Although we are spiritual beings we are very physical as well.When around or using other energies sometimes we become blocked or Reiki shuts down, or like you said we are in transition (shift). Some energies are very raw energy and harsh. Reiki is very smooth and gentle. Sometimes when one door opens another closes. A draft of opening one door can pull another one closed. Untill the drafts work together through both doors we have to keep opening the doors. Eventually they start to work together which is where the transition takes place that you were talking about. True we can't lose something that is not ours but we and other things can stop the energy from flowing through us. It is up to the individual to decide if he or she wants to reopen the door to allow the energy to flow again. It is all about what agreements we have with the universe. Sometimes one thing may be just a stepping stone to the next and other times it is another tool to add to the tool belt. Depending on the individual one may recieve earth energy and not Reiki or vice versa. Sometimes the energies will work together and sometimes just seperatly. Really enjoyed reading your reply listening to someone elses view point is always enlightening.
