Hi,
I have been reading Dreamhealer 2 by Adam who supposedly is a natural healer ( I say supposedly because I do not know him). He projects a hologram with auras of the person or persons he is working on. Of interest is how he connects with people: he describes it as "resonating" at their frequency. This fascinates me as I can see where it might apply to Reiki, the attunement setting the healing frequency, so to speak. He also makes note that there is no good or bad energy, its just energy that is directed by our intentions. The energy that moves is the energy we intend to move ( bad intention, bad energy). That speaks to me about the need for preparation before Reiki so one is in the right frame of mind & right intention. He talks about grounding visualizations, etc. and stresses the individual's responsibility to direct their owm healing. " I help people remember what they have forgotten".
Reiki is very much about intention. It is easy to overlook that and get wrapped up in brand name Reiki! Nothing new here, but a great reminder, eh? :)
