Hi everyone. I am new here, but I am compelled to contribute after reading the permission thread. There are cases where we cannot ask permission. A person in a coma, a small child, someone with mental problems (in these cases the person or the human guardians could not know what is the best thing to do. We, neither as the Reiki giver, nor the Reiki receiver has the wisdom to know what level of Reiki energy they may wisely receive and the universal consequences of flows of concentrated Reiki. Who are we but channels for the flow of Universal Life Force. This is why we cannot depend upon our own limited wisdom concerning permission or the regulation of the flow of Reiki. We must trust our Reiki guides, God/Goddess, our Spirit Guides & Helpers, Angels, the Ancient Ones, the Absolute Infinte, the Universal Life Force, the Great Spirit. Grand Master Hawayo Takata said that this power {REIKI) is unfathomable, immeasurable, and being a universal life force is incomprehensible to man. Yet every single living being is receiving its blessings daily, awake or asleep ... Reiki is already flowing in all! We are the channels through which this Omnipotent, Omnipresent, Omniscient Force works. This Force works with our love, compassion & intention. We pray, meditate, become as One with this Force as we can. We trust this Force to do the Proper channelling of Reiki through us to our intended recipient of our love and compassion. This fear about permission is dismissed ... we express our love and compassion and the Universal Life Force which already sustains all life in this universe takes the decision of permission out of our hands. This is not a mindless Force. If you think it is, then you will always live in fear.
