Can you please share your most amazing Reiki experience(s)?
I'll get the ball rolling with one that blew my mind. I was asked to give Reiki to a little boy who was in the children's hospital for an acute autoimmune disorder. I dutifully went and gave him a treatment (surreptitiously, because we weren't sure hospital staff would approve). His condition improved immediately, in that he began responding to medication (the medication had been ineffective for a week before that). But the amazing thing was this: Two days before I saw him, he had stuffed a tiny piece of a toy up his nose. No one could get this toy out,
not his mother, not the nurses, not even the doctors who put him under general anaesthetic to try to get the toy out. They were worried about inducing bleeding that they couldn't stop, so in the end they left the toy in. Then he received Reiki. I didn't know about the toy when I gave him Reiki; he didn't know that he was receiving Reiki. FIVE MINUTES AFTER I LEFT AFTER THE TREATMENT THE TOY CAME OUT BY ITSELF. (And when his aunt called me to tell me about the toy, all I could say was "what toy"?)
I've been often told by skeptics that Reiki works through suggestion and the placebo effect and sometimes, when I feel down, I even believe them. But after this experience I can only say that I am in awe of the wisdom of Reiki.
