Some people would view your actions as intrusive and assaultive. After all, if you had objects in your yard that your neighbors found offensive, would you like it if someone came uninvited onto your property and cleaned up your "mess"?
The construction of a ward (consider it an etheric wall) would accomplish the same end, i.e., your protection from someone else's "negativity," and without your having to tresspass, as it were.
While I'm warming to my topic, I'll go ahead and mention something else that has bothered me no end, and that's this business of sending things/critters "to the light."
People who would never dream of shooting a dog or cat that got into their trash seem to have no compunction at all about sending an incorporeal being "into the light" which is (unless I thoroughly misinterpret) a newage euphemism for killing it. The folks I read who speak of such things frequently a) have no idea what they're dealing with, and b) don't know of anything else to do with it. As well, all too often they aren't more than minorly inconvenienced by it, if that.
Come on, folks, if it ain't bothering you directly, live and let live...and please do try to come up with a more compasionate (and creative) response than simply exterminating it.
