Thanks very much for all the information. It's very useful. Certainly looks interesting.

I know exactly what you mean about the whole 'my reiki is stronger, purer, got more bells on' attitude. I hate it too. It just smacks of 'I'm better than you and you will pay me money to learn what I know'.

So to be honest, when my friend first mentioned it, I thought it sounded like just another money making scam.

And yes, Firekeeper, I thought 250 quid was a bit pricey for a level 1 attunement too.

But then when she told me how the first two attunements were so strong that they made her feel dizzy and light headed [and this is a reiki master we're talking about], I began to wonder if maybe there wasn't a bit more to it than that.

So have you tried it then? If so what did you think?

And also, I was wondering what do you think in general of all the different types of reiki - violet flame, sheikem etc etc. Are they just a different way of teaching exactly the same thing or do they, in your opinion, actually add something to the quality of the energy. And if they change the quality of the energy then can it still be classified as reiki?

What do you think, Firekeeper? You seem to be quite interested in different forms of energy work.
