I am happy to say that I am feeling much better and am almost back to normal now. This has been my first experience with distant attunements & I must admit I was quite sceptical at first, but let me tell you that they really work (or at least thats what my experience has been!)I could feel the rush of energy in fact a very strong connection to the energy during my attunements & a wonderful feeling of peace throughout the process. Prior to the attunements I was feeling very low & felt a complete lack of energy despite giving myself reiki, but after the KR attunements I felt very good, very optimistic & cheerful & full of energy. Liam you are correct in the assumption that I did receive my attunements in quick progression & I assume that was the reason for my physical symptoms. I feel that the Kundalini reiki has given me a strong chakra clearing & hopefully the worst is over now! :) It is interesting that you mention we use only a small amount of the Kundalini for healing purposes. I have read that elsewhere on the internet & will check with my reiki master about it. I personally feel that reiki is undergoing a transformation & changing with the times. Imagine that in 1980 there were only 11 known reiki masters in the western world & compare that to the figures we have today! (I don't know the exact figures but I assume there must be many thousands or even millions all over the world.)Also reiki has branched out into so many different forms from Usui to Karuna / Sekhem / Kundalini / Tibetan/ Gold reiki etc. It is being combined now with so many different healing modalities & I think the internet age will revolutionalise the use of reiki. I have also received Usui Reiki Empowerments from a reiki master based in Hawaii, whom I had accessed online & I have had wonderful experiences with that as well. I agree with Donna & Liam that the energies of the reiki master must come into play, so maybe I was just fortunate in finding the right RM's, whereas some people do have bad experiences with distant attunements. I have recently heard that Ole Gabrielson has developed some new notes in which he states that people don't need a reiki master to give them attunements, you just ask your higher self to be attuned to Kundalini or Gold reiki etc. & the attunement will come from Source! I find that very interesting - just imagine if it were so simple to be attuned to reiki without the need for a money exchange or to be physically present with the master. If such were the case then imagine the spiritual transformation taking place on earth. Reiki would be available to the masses, rich & poor alike! Must find out more about it..In the meantime let me know your thoughts on the above.
