Hi,
Simply getting some result we think we want without knowing how the result was achieved is not quite what I would call "it works". And, in the specific instance at hand I am not certain that strong emotional responses abounding means anything is working. Not having heard from those actually affected makes it difficult to assess their perceptions of events. Remember, if I say someone said this or that occurred what I report is simply hearsay. It may be an accurate relay of what was reported but it is still hearsay.
