aronaya,

/*\ Namaste :-}}

- some folks need to feel that someone is 'doing somethng to them'

- other folks are more squirrelly about others 'doing something' to them

- the energy passed along during Reiki must be used by recipients however they are able to do so - some may have more limited 'gifts' for this than others

- and, if a recipient, particularly someone new to the experience, is not 'tutored' that he\she will use the energy according to his\her needs and intentions then it may well be that some folks may simply not 'grasp' what to do (assuming, rather, that the Reiki practitioner will 'do something")

- we as practitioners, of course, pass along the energy - and little else

>:-}}

- as for my own experiences? I am not aware of such a dynamic in any hands-on work in which I have been involved but, over the years, I have suspected something similar to what you report during some distance Reiki sessions

- and, in some cases I definitely sensed that sort of 'resistance', so to speak, during distance ketsueki-kokan - when I was doing that practice on a regular basis

- hope this helps

Reiki All Around,

All Blessings,
