Heck I've done it myself.
I had a friend work on my back a few years ago (distantly) and finally he came back online to say, Hey Susan quite blocking me~!! your not accepting the energy..
So, I had to recenter and say over and over again that I accepted the energy and allow it to flow into me.
As I was reading your post I totally saw it filling the auric field and had to laugh when you suggested that exact same thing.
I like to think that they may be unwilling at first, but in the odd times they may accept that energy and it is right there for them when they do for a while.
I worked on my niece a few weeks ago .. Actually two of them. I've not had the chance to ask about their experience but one was moved and the other ( who's mom says its bad) felt nothing. She even went so far to say she was thinking the whole time about something else..
I think she still did accept some of the energy though because I could definately feel the flow and then I saw her in two different lifetimes. One as a Tibetian monk and the other her on a horse during a native american lifetime..
Go figure..
So, I try not to analyze too much cause it would make me crazy. Just always happy for whatever experience shows up because I believe deeply any healings we do are there to heal us on the level of our own perceptions and limitations too..
