I have one of the screws you're talking about, don't know if it's titanium but it's definately metal of somekind.
I didn't have an accident, but as a child two of my baby teeth grew in fused together as somekind of super tooth. I thought it was coold then and was dissapointed when only one tooth replaced it.
A family friend who is a dentist realigned everything to create a gap and placed the metal "root" for a new tooth I'll be getting next month. The process is really kind of interesting if you approach it from a clinical perspective, it's not every day that someone drills into my mandible so I was amazed at the concept and it didn't hurt with the anasthetic so it felt kind of cool too. I haven't experienced any energy disturbance, it's not like their putting a cannonball sized load stone into your gut and when you think about it your aura comes into contact with more metal than that on an almost continuous basis through out the day.
I'd be more concerned with the emotional and psychological imbalances after a traumatic event like that. Even if you feel fine in that regard your tension with something small and corrective like that may indicate that you have some deeper issues from the accident that you need to deal with before you're ready to feel "healthy".
I hope everything goes well and my prayers too you on a speedy recovery, friend.
