As it happens, I have also been taught: Reiki knows where to go; I need do nothing (other than place my hands in position).
Frank Arjava Petter says:
“The Reiki power naturally finds its own paths, precisely where it is needed. However, this does not exclude the possibility of the people giving the treatment following their own inspiration with their hands. A Western Reiki treatment is a type of large-scale treatment; the Japanese, intuitive treatment is specifically directed: the more precise we work, the better the results will naturally be.”
And, Diane Stein says:
“…the person has only to place her two hands down to heal, either on a pain area or using the Reiki full-body hand-positions. The Ki energy does the rest, without any direction, flowing through the healer’s hands. The healer may or may not know what needs healing, but the energy has an intelligence far beyond human and will go where it is needed.”
And also, Diane Stein says:
“Very little conscious focusing is required when using Reiki. Put your hands down with the intent to heal and the energy flows—no matter what else you may be doing or thinking about at the time…. I have often taught a workshop while my hands are doing Reiki as I talk. The person receiving the healing is not deprived, the energy needs no directing.”
In allowing for the role of intuition as Frank Petter does, Diane Stein adds:
“The hand positions for self-healing are the basis for all the other Reiki positions as well. While I give them below in an organized manner, always allow intuition free play. If you are guided in a healing to put your hands somewhere not designated as a Reiki position, do so. Likewise, if your are guided to skip a position or to do it out of order.”
I do understand that one's truth is one's own experience.
Given that, I'd still very much like to read your comments.
Please tell me what do you make of the above?
Also: Firekeeper, may I ask how you direct ULE through intention?
Peace Be,
