Hand Boilers

Once I was playing with one of those hand boilers you get at the science store. They are blown glass with coloured methyl chloride or some chemical and when you hold the bottom the fluid goes to the top and bubbles.

The thought came, "Wouldn't it be fun if I could make it boil with reiki from across the room." So I struck a dramatic pose like Samatha Stevens manifesting a clean house, pointed at it, visualized the reiki ray hitting the bottom of the thing, and I will be darned if the fluid did not move up slowly and start to boil. Not rapidly though-more like when you are trying to make bubbles in a McDonald's shake. Later I got better at it.

Well that started a whole lot of great experiments. The students would practice making it "boil" from the next room with the long distance symbol. Or moving the fluid to the top and then using the decrease power to move it down. What is weird though is once your boiler gets attuned to you all you really have to do its stare at it and it will start to blip.

What I really like about it is it is tangible. It gives a new student great confidence especially when he or she can get it boiling faster than the teacher. It eliminates all doubt and the midnight calls saying the reiki did not take or will you work on my dog as you have been doing it longer-things like that.

The red seem easiest to move.

Anyway hand boilers are a pretty good teaching tool and confidence builder so thought I would share.

Its not as hard as it sounds. Take the attitude "Wouldn't it be fun if." If it is serious or important to you it's often slower going. Keep a giggle in your heart.

Use caution publically though. Once there was a blown glass kiosk for Christmas at the mall with about 50 of them among little glass figurines. There was this poor fellow in a wheelchair with a bent up shoulder looking at the figurines. He was in pretty sad shape. I felt I could help him and really wanted to touch him but did not know how to say it. So I hit the handboilers hard with reiki from about 6 feet away. The liquid started moving up at various speeds. Soon most were bubbling.

A lady crossed herself and the merchant turned around, saw he fluid in them moving untouched and started babbling in Korean about devils. Mothers were grabbing their kids. The guy in the wheelchair looked at me like a deer in the headlights and I winked, still thinking if he saw that he would want to know how it was done and start talking to me. He about popped a wheely in his rush to get out of there.

Oops.
