Dear Prosperity,
Thank you for your reply. I appreciate your suggestions, as well.
Prosperity: "Also what are your feelings towards this person?"
In gassho, I intend to be a perfect instrument for the ULE to flow.
I intend further that the ULE serve the recipient's highest good.
And, I give thanks. I am grounded. I breathe in and visualize
energy coming into the top of my head and spreading throughout
my body. Then I place hands on, remain respectful and mindful
of any sensations I feel. That is basically it. Please tell me if I
should be including something else?
Also: Recipients report that the hot heat they experience
"feels very good."

Prosperity: "And did you have this condition prior to being a Reiki practitioner?"
Not at all. Perspiry palms was a complete surprise to me.
I asked my teacher if she had ever had this experience?
I asked other established practitioners if this experience
was common to them. My teacher and the other practitioners
said that yes, they have experienced perspiry palms, as well.
Neither my teacher nor the other practitioners offered any other
information regarding perspiry palms.
Further: I read with interest an article: Petter's "Reiki Ryoho, Part I,
Understanding Byosen Scanning" in the current (Spring 2007)
of "Reiki News" magazine. Petter's article lists the five levels of byosen
(page 23) which follow and I quote:
1) Heat. This heat is above normal body temperature.
2) Strong heat. This heat makes your palms s w e a t [my spacing].
3) Tingling. The tingling....
4) Pulsation, cold. The pulsation....
5) Pain in the hand of the practitioner. This pain....
And, in Petter's article there is no further mention of the phenomenon
of "sweaty palms".
I am at a loss. I would appreciate any further input.

Thank you.

Blessings,
