One of my teachers long ago defined enlightenment as merging the personality with the soul. It took my thought process some time to figure that one out. I now work on my personality and shadow self.
I think the word Ascension at least to me is what I strive for.From talking to people the word Ascension seems to have replaced Enlightenment. People used both.
