Good day, posylady. I've used Reiki combined with craniosacral and other hands-on techniques. Very often you can sense when one is fearful and feel this also leaving the person's body. Or joyful for seeing the light. I recall one time, I entered a lady's room and she was not alert....I touched her ankle and internally asked if I might work with her.....I got a loud & resounding "NO" internally, so I quietly left. Come to find out later, this was the mama of a gent who worked with my husband and she passed that very evening. Hospice had taught us that when one is truly preparing to pass over, that they first "let go" of everything here....I believe she was already doing this and I would have only been drawing her back. The beauty of our work....if we listen quietly enough....our client's bodies will talk to us....let us know what they need.
