I have remembered further. After we began being reiki with each other, we had to set a time table so that each of us would be on the table for about the same amount of time. So we used my big faced watch to time our posotions as well as the end of each session. If only two of us, we timed them for five minutes per hand position. If five or six persons, we would set the time for each session then guage hand positions from that.

ps. My soul mate always was able to hold more power than the rest of us. she also was rebellious at times about what rules we set at each session. For instance, when she saw a dark energy at a position she held that position until the darkness went away. We were supposed to hold it only the alloted time. I rebelled at her rebellion!
