I'd heard somewhat that the eagle represented spirit. Apart from that I'm no help whatsoever. Years back when I was just a kid, I dreamt of an eagle following me. I wasn't scared in the dream, but threw stones at it and to drive it went away. If I'd accepted the eagle instead of trying to drive it away, where would my spiritual journey have taken me? Just remembering the dream, I think I was trying to protect my siblings, since we were all running away from it.
So maybe the message you got was to concentrate reiki on the spiritual rather than the physical? I know that reiki goes where its needed, but with intent, it may go to 'that' place envisioned?
