its actually done in batter. The battered mars bar is unceremoniously dunked in fat - and this is the gross bit - the same fat that fries the Scottish traditional chippie fayre - fish, sausages, haggis and chicken. Mm-mm.
I've never had one but I would make my own if i had a fryer - in sweet fresh oil! May be tempted by evie's bounty suggestion..
