Well, I think that some Christians can be very cruel, stuck up and very self-righteous about their beleifs. But that's not just Christians however, it's any and every religion. Christianity just happens to be the dominant religion here, so, it's the one that is less tolerant, if was a minority religion, things would be much different.
However I am a Christian, my RM is, and her RM was a nun. My father, is a STRICT Catholic. He was very upset about me practicing Reiki. He would constantly put me down for not being Catholic and practicing Reiki. I realized one day, that this power he had over me was only the power I gave him. He would abuse it non-stop, so....I TOOK IT BACK! Now, he knows that that is a locked door for him, he's not to enter, and that I won't hesitate to put him in his place. Even though he disrespects my beleifs, I respect his, I go to his church when I'm with him.
My advice is to do the same, respect theirs even when they don't respect ours. Because that way, we are staying the bigger person. However, this doesn't mean you have to take the bunk that people throw in your face, they do it because THEY don't understand it, and because people fear what the don't understand, they feel they need to "defend" themselves.
