I first did Reiki 8 years ago, now I am a Reiki Master, which was all I wanted in life after doing Reiki 8 years ago.
I'm new here so forgive me for my ignorance but I read a message board saying "anything is talked about but Reiki", and I have to say after looking at a lot of the messages and a lot of threads that I have to agree with whoever wrote that initail message. I looked to try to see who it was but as I am new here I couldn't find it again.
Most of the messages I read seemed to be personal insults or "peoples egos getting in the way of their rational mind!"
I also have to agree with whoever it was that said or asked even, "arn't some reiki people more spiritual than others?" Of course, some are very very spiritual, some are not, either way, whether you be a Reiki Master or Reiki 1 student we should all be coming from the same place. Talking, sharing ideas about Reiki,good and bad! Trust me I have seen bad experinces too in my 8 years, shouldn't we be talking about these things? Anyone who thinks there are no bad experiences is either mis-informed or ignorant. Arn't we all healers at the end of the day????? Whether Reiki 1, 2 or 3! Reiki 1 people can also be more spiritual than Reiki Masters, depending on the lives they live!
I also read another "thread" about somebody trying to justify to someone else(sorry, didn't see the original message), about their religion, their christmas celebrations and beliefs! I couldn't believe what I was reading! Shouldn't we all just accept each others beliefs? Be they good or bad? If somebody is calling into question what we believe, hasn't Reiki made you feel again that all religions are ok, not just one? If so then why not say that instead of going on the defensive about your christmas and your beliefs? What relevance does that have to Reiki?
Also shouldn't we be more accepting? I know a lot about Reiki, but 8 years ago when I started out I was naive, had a million questions but no-one to ask! Shouldn't we all be asking these questions on here?
I also was taught the difference between "traditional" and "non - traditional" and I have to say having done both, make up your own mind about what is right for you! Caused a lot of contention for me for many years!!!!
Lastly,this will be controversial ok? But I am not here to agree with everyone else on here but merely for the love and respect of Reiki.
Ever given a Reiki treatmnent and noticed the person has had a bad reaction? Produced physical problems? Physical "shifts?" as so many people like to say!!!!!!
If so, and I have in my 8 years, check you are drawing the symbols correctly ok? Try not to use more than one symbol in one healing too ok?
This will give you all something to munch over, but in my 8 years I have learnt all this the hard way!
Remember lets talk about Reiki! What would some outsider who came on here looking for some enlightenment think of these messages if they wasted their time to read a lot of them??
