I agree with what you say here. I think it is important to take into consideration both inner projection and another's Personna.
Lie to ourselves? I think we just have a mis-perception of the truth of who we are, and sometimes can't see past who we are not. Just as the mirror is a reflector for the body, other's are a reflector for the mind.
